Frisco, TX referred to as a new city with quite several attractions that intertwine with its rich history. The town was once known as Emerson, but the United States Postal service rejected the name for being too similar to a different city of Texas. The residents chose the name Frisco in 1904 to honor the famed St. Louis-San Francisco Railway that has now become a significant attraction in the city but later shortened the name to Frisco
