We deliver this adult teaching course all over the country.

The Level 3: Award in Education & Training AET (former PTLLS) course. The AET course is a stepping stone qualification suitable for those who want to go into post 16 teaching provided they are qualified in the subject they want to teach.

You could either do the course as classroom based or distance learning.The class based course is 3 days course, and is project based. At the end of the course you will be given about 4 weeks to submit your portfolio.The entry requirement for the course is the basic numeracy, ICT skills and literacy skills.

The course comprises of the following learning outcomes:-Understand your own role, responsibilities and boundaries of the role in relation to teaching.-Understand teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area-Demonstrate session planning skills-Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners.-Understand the use of different assessment method and the need for record keeping.The award is accredited onto the Qualification credit Framework (QCF) and is a single unit attracting 12 QCF points.

Distance learning course:
This qualification is delivered through our online based learning platform or classroom based with full tutor support throughout the course. The course materials can be accessed from anywhere through our student’s portal. Our courses are designed to be convenient and intuitive and delivered as part of a holistic approach that is supported by our awarding bodies. Micro teaching is an activity where trainee teachers prepare and deliver a short teaching and learning session to their peers. Our online course allows you to access other micro teach sessions to observe as part of your course if you do not have anyone to observe yourself. However, if you like you can do this micro-teach from home send it to us and will get assessed.The course is done at your own pace with a tutor’s guidance. Once you book the course, the Student Portal access would be sent out to you and you will be given up to 4 months to complete the course. However if you finish earlier, you will be awarded early as long as you meet the required standard, you do not need to wait for 16 weeks.

Course Assessment:
There is no formal examination is required, but at the end of the course you need to submit a portfolio via email or by post to our head office. You will also be required to provide supporting evidence and an observation with written on the micro teach delivery aspect of the course.
