Harley Ultrasound are introducing a testing kit for organisations and there workforce who wish to quell doubts over whether their staff have COVID-19. The easy to use test can produce results within 15 minutes.

How does the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette work?

The COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette aims to identify two types of antibody, namely Immunoglobulin M and Immunoglobulin G which are specific to COVID-19.

By identifying the presence of Immunoglobulin M and Immunoglobulin G antibodies that are specific to COVID-19, the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette can show whether you have the virus. Therefore, this testing kit can help to protect your workforce, and subsequently your customers as well as others around you. It can also assist in the diagnosis of the difference between a cold and normal flu.

To perform the test, you must first clean the tip of the index finger and then prick your finger with a lancet. Next, you must transfer a small amount of blood to the test cassette before adding a few drops of the buffer solution.

The test cassette has three lines which can change colour; one is a control line which shows that the test has been done correctly, and there is one line for each of the two antibodies.

The FDA and the Australian government cleared a similar product for testing recently, and the UK government gave the green light this week to home-testing kits becoming available.

The COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette has an accuracy of 93.4%. The cost of the testing kits will depend on the size of the organisation and the number of kits purchased. Please see below for pricing:

Please note, a pre and post consultation is included in the price of the kit:

2 kits – £1984 kits – £34910 kits – £75020 kits – £995

Please note, that as we are supplying test kits for organisations, there is a minimum order quantity of 2 kits.

If yourself, one of your employees or colleagues has symptoms, whether the result indicates a positive or negative, the person in question should remain in self-isolation at home and contact 111 for further guidance at this present moment.

At no point should this test be deemed to be conclusive without the advice of medical professionals, as this test is an indication only. If you receive negative results, that does not mean that you are free to leave your house at the present moment, as everyone must operate within guidelines provided by the government and practise social distancing.

By using the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette to determine whether or not your staff may have COVID-19, this can help to prevent the spread of the virus, particularly once government restrictions have been relaxed.
