How does the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette work?

The COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette aims to identify two types of antibody, namely Immunoglobulin M and Immunoglobulin G which are specific to COVID-19.

By identifying the presence of Immunoglobulin M and Immunoglobulin G antibodies that are specific to COVID-19, the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette can indicate whether your staff members have had the coronavirus or whether they have built up immunity to this. Therefore, this testing kit can help to protect your workforce, and subsequently your customers.

What is Workplace Testing by Harley Ultrasound?

Harley Ultrasound now offer a “Workplace Testing,” service. This involves a Healthcare Professional from Harley Ultrasound visiting your premises in order to carry out the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Tests. By doing so, your employees can have added assistance when performing the tests, and have their results clarified all within the same visit.

Firstly, the Healthcare Professional will train your employees on how the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test is administered. Then, your entire workforce will be tested on site.

After the tests have been conducted, staff must practise social distancing while waiting for the results. If any members of staff receive a positive result, our Healthcare Professional will advise them on the next steps.

Our Healthcare Professional will also advise you on how to regularly screen the remaining staff who may initially receive negative results from the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test, to help you maintain a safe working environment.

Before leaving, our Healthcare Professional will take the used kits and place them in Biohazard Materials Bags to dispose of.
