Intracorneal ring insert (ICRS) implants represent a modern, uncommon, surgical option for visible improvement in patients with keratoconus. ICRS alters cone geometry in a way that enhances its visual features and thus, improves visual perception. It is well documented that the inclusion of ICRS reduces keratometric readings, spherical equivalent and, reduces high order retention that improves visual disc acuity (UDVA) and highly corrective distance (BCDVA) in patients with keratoconus.
